Yesterday afternoon, a pilot was killed in a World War II recreation flight at an airshow near me.
"The Hurricanes and Spitfires flew past and did a classic victory roll before banking steeply around and into a dive.
"The crash aircraft ( the hurricane) did not pull up and crashed almost vertically into the edge of a field several hundred yards from the aircraft boundary."
If you buy a print of this beautiful girl, shown in a recreation of a situation in which the plane had been damaged in combat, you will be putting money towards a Donation for the Royal Air Forces Association.
I heard about that... me and one of my friends watched the hurricane fly over us, in worthing, about half an hour before. (you have no idea how much i want a print of that wow!) great photo!
i saw a video of it on the news, but they didn't show the actual moment (i'm hoping it was out of respect), and during the minute-silence the next day it was..you could feel the emotion in the air
thankyou
